Hi there! Contact lens wearer.
What can we do to interest and impress you?

What's new?

The latest in SOFT lenses are those that are worn day and night for thirty days...Yeah... we know!

You remember these being around years ago !!! TRUE.. and they caused a lot of problems, subsequently falling into disrepute. However technology has developed a new material and it is reputed to have resolved the original problems. Unfortunately it is too early to know if they are an improvement yet, but it certainly looks encouraging.

Bifocal contact lenses for those who hate wearing reading glasses!

Over the years many types of bifocal contact lenses have been developed but have never been successful. Again with technological advances a really successful contact bifocal has been produced. It is called the PRESBYLITE.

Throw-away lenses?

Disposable lenses are "soft" lenses and are not suitable for every prescription. Nor surprisingly, are they as kind to the eyes as Gas Permeable lenses. The reason for this is because soft lenses do not let as much oxygen through the lens to the eyes as Gas Permeable lenses.

Daily Disposable lenses are an convenient idea if you wear lenses every day. They will cost you about £400 a year so, while they are convenient they are expensive.

Soft lenses should only be worn about 10 to 12 hours per day if you wear lenses every day.

So, If you want to wear lenses from first thing in the morning until last thing at night, every day in the week. The safest lenses on the market are Gas Permeable lenses.

The problem lies in the difference in manufacturing processes between the soft lens , which is mass produced like shirt buttons, and Gas Permeable lenses, which are individually designed and manufactured to fit YOUR eyes, until now.
