Join the team at Scotlens in this rewarding role of Professional Services Specialist

This position offers great flexibility with remote working and part time flexible hours.

Candidates will be provided training in order to provide professional services support to ortho-k night lens fitters and general GP lenses fitters. This support will include ordering and aftercare support, producing and presenting training sessions in person and online. Producing professional support materials for online.

About Scotlens
Scotlens has been making custom made GP contact lenses since 1976. Now specialising in ortho-k night lenses and irregular contact lenses from corneal lenses through to sclerals. Scotlens professional services is lead by Scott Brown, who is a practicing optometrist with over 20 years experience. This new position will be to work with Scott and the lab staff ensuring our network of optometrists get the most up to date advice and skill, enhancing their patients contact lens wear.

Hours: Core – 15hrs/week total. 3 hrs/day.


Qualification: Optometrist / CLO, UK full driving license.

Required Experience: Minimum of 2 years in general optometric practice with contact lens fitting.

Desired Experience: GP lens fitting, ortho-k night lens, irregular corneal contact lens fitting.

Skills: Familiar with Microsoft Powerpoint, Outlook, Word. Zoom.

Suited to: Individual who is interested patient care, ortho-k night lenses, myopia, myopia management and new developments in optometry. Who is communicative, creative, self-motivated and enjoys working with optometric professionals as part of a small team.
